The preparation of the ski trail network in the cabin and hiking areas in Valdres is taken care of by local trail associations. Aurdal and Kruk Trail Associations prepare the trails from Heimåsgrinda in the north (about 3km north of Nythun), via Pilset and Smørlifjell to Aurdalsåsen and further to Bjørgovarden, Ølslykkja, Fjellsbygda and Tonsåsen in the south.
