As in previous years, there was great interest among the cabin owners on the hill in participating in the event, which has become a tradition, on the last Friday of the "Oslo autumn break".
This time too, the house was full – we barely managed to get 84 players in, and unfortunately had to operate with a small waiting list. Fortunately, most of them got a place in the end.
What was particularly pleasing this year was the influx of young players. Whereas the average age has previously increased by one year each year, this time it actually decreased! The young guys made a mark both on the field and at the banquet.
As usual, everyone was welcomed by the club's new host, who served homemade soup at the clubhouse. Johannes at KIWI also contributed this year with buns, bananas and chocolate - well distributed via the "service car", which ensured stable blood sugar levels for all participants.
The weather couldn't have been better either – sunshine, nice temperatures and just a hint of wind from "Amy". When we woke up to 10 cm of snow and a storm the next morning, we were glad that the tournament was played the day before!
Although the social aspect is central, the competitive instinct is never far away. With 21 four-person teams on the starting line, there was, as usual, both a good atmosphere and a hard fight for victory.

Banquet and award ceremony in Fjellparkstua
All the winners received their well-deserved tribute during the banquet in Fjellparkstua, where Ida Oline helped to feed hungry participants with pizza – and restore their fluid balance.
A great tradition is that all participants receive a prize – and not just any prize. This year the prize table broke all previous records. All sponsors – from listed companies and golf clubs throughout Southern Norway to local restaurants and businesses – contributed generously and received their well-deserved thanks and applause.
The event committee thanks all participants, sponsors and volunteers for a fantastic day!
With good spirits, beautiful weather and a great atmosphere, this year's tournament was once again a highlight on the hill. Thank you for helping to make the event possible - we are already looking forward to next year!
Aurdalsåsen Open 2026
