Hiking on the Aurdalsåsen

Odd Sagbråten and Tove Skjelstad have been inviting people to go on a sheep hike in Aurdalsåsen since 2015, and there will be hikes this year as well.

Hiking

Miles of well-marked hiking trails, a dedicated summit hike program (Top 30) and cairn hiking are some of the opportunities for hiking in Jotunheimen and the mountains of Valdres.

Summer camp

Aurdal Fjordcamping and Cabins, and the surrounding area, offer many activities for the whole family.

Cycling

Valdres is perhaps the country's best area for hiking and mountain biking. Miles of good roads and trails are ideal for cycling for the whole family.

Golf

Valdres Golf is a natural gem of a golf course, located in a scenic location by Lake Aurdalsvannet in Vestringsbygda, 12 km from Fagernes.

Aurdal is only 165 km from Oslo. Its location in central Eastern Norway with a short distance to Jotunheimen and Western Norway gives you a perspective on what day trips you can take from the cabin.

The cabin area in Aurdalsåsen is well-maintained. Here you will find Aurdal Valdres Alpine Center with a descent at 1060 meters above sea level. The Aurdal and Kruk ski slopes provide over 180 km of ski trails in high mountains and in sheltered forest belts with access to the trail network all the way to Beitostølen.
