Many people, young and old, were present at the unveiling of the Kilde wall at Koja
On Boxing Day, the Kilde wall was solemnly unveiled with the main character himself present. Aleksander Aamodt Kilde himself donated a pair of skis, a starting jersey and a picture for the wall in Koja.
Young and old alike got a good insight into the life of Aurdal and Valdres Alpine Center's great ski hero, and Aleksander willingly posed for selfies and signed autographs.
Aleksander's family has a cabin on the hill, and since he was little he has spent many hours at Valdres Alpine Center.
One of the young attendees asked Aleksander what it took to become a good Alpinist? The answer and main message from Aleksander to both young and old was; many hours – with the main emphasis on being outside playing, having fun, and not being inside with the Playstation and tablet.
Big applause from everyone in Koja, especially parents... :-)
